# Introduction

Tedra USD 2.0 (USD.T) is a digital currency designed to serve not just as a store of value, but as a functional instrument for everyday commerce, DeFi participation, payments, and ecosystem integration. Unlike most USD stablecoins that are isolated to speculative trading or custodial storage, USD.T is developed as a true financial layer, optimized for scalability, composability, and integration across both Web3 and traditional systems.
